A broad theoretical model for existential capacity as a strategic resource in an organization (English)
Abstract [en]
34 strategic leaders were interviewed about Sweden and their future organization year 2035. About requirements for management and governance. Besides a solid, predictable, managerial part of the business - a parallel collaborative and discovering ability also needs to appear. An existential capacity - individuals with the capacity to seek and respond, in an organization with the capacity to seek and respond - became visible.
The purpose of the essay is to develop a broad theoretical model for existential capacity as a strategic resource in an organization. The survey was analyzed, interpreted and discussed through four theoretical perspectives provided by Hartmut Rosa, Dave Snowden, Nancy Tatom Ammerman and Jonna Bornemark.
Resonance is the active modus of the strategic model. Key words are being affected, self- efficacy, adoptive transformation in relation to the unknown. The organization as a system can through several pools of resonance create a flow of bodily, social, emotional and cognitive knowledge and experiences. Existential capacity as a strategic resource in an organization equals the ability to generate resonance in the system.
The strategic model that the essay lays out can be used in strategy, be explored empirically, deepened and challenged in various ways.
